I like it.
Looking at some of the talks, some just are business people - not sure
about number of attending uh, who get the tech. So I wonder about the
position of the last page - it may give an impression that we are
struggling and It is the last thing we leave them with before q&a.
Whereas we are really making steady progress.
I just added this to the slides:
Community involvement
Assistance from companies
Ad this to the notes:
We have had a lot of help from the community
Various companies have helped us out: discounts, use of facilities,
licensing of IP
Our progress is slow but steady: persistence
it could be moved up earlier - say shared between slide 3 and 7. eg
mention the difficulties of making it earlier and then we would show
them the card - we did it. then the demo. we did it etc. now we are up
to here (stage1).. and making progress. After they are left knowing
where we are up to, just before q&a you can invite them to assist with
something specific - which might even prompt a question or two along
that line.
Ok. I moved it to right under Motivation. I need to figure out how to segue.
Also looking at the expected audience - how would you describe them?
CEO. Tech guys. Geeks? And do we know of any applications that might
specifically interest them that could be mentioned in passing?
This seems to be a very business-oriented conference, as you say. Not
like, say, the Ohio LinuxFest, which has lots of talks on projects
being worked on.
I'm sure lots of tech and geek people will be there, though.
As for your last question... it's a good question. :)
