One of the jobs I respect very much but which I don't think I could ever do is organize a conference. Too much to organize, too much chaos, too many things that can go wrong. I've been in contact with the A/V people, and they're on top of things and are ready to help out in case of a problem.
I couldn't bring the computer on the plane, so I had to ship it, and it'll arrive at the hotel Monday afternoon. I have the hard drive and the OGD1 board with me already. The hotel staff have agreed to let me borrow a monitor so I can test the computer after I've reassembled it. On Tuesday morning, I can then test it on the projector at the conference. In case the PC has suffered catastrophic damage in transit, Dieter and a friend of his have offered to let me borrow one of their computers. In addition, the conference staff have told me that they shouldn't have a problem finding me an appropriate PC that I can gut and reconfigure. Now I just have to do my part and do a good job with the speech. I hope some day this sort of thing becomes less of a big deal to me. :) -- Timothy Normand Miller http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~millerti Open Graphics Project _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
