I thought y'all might like a report on how the speech went. Things
went well. Absolutely no problems with the hardware, connecting it to
the projector or anything.

About 25 to 30 people attended.

My speech proper probably only lasted about 15 minutes, shorter than
the usual 20 I got when practicing. But I got so many questions at
the end that we ended up filling the entire 45-minute time slot.

I don't remember all of the questions, but they included things like:

- cost of OGD1
- timeline for OGC1
- designing hardware vs. reverse engineering existing cards
- tool chain issues (i.e. being required to use Xilinx commercial tools)
- legal issues wrt patents and competitors pouncing on us
- our licensing terms

I had forgotten to bring a camera, but someone was there with a rather
expensive-looking one and he has promised to email me the photos he
took.

The audience seemed enthusiastic and very interested.

It has been suggested that we get into contact with one of the
organizations like the Software Freedom Law Center and work around a
plan in advance to deal with the possibility of getting sued.
