We're trying to make a final decision on the last-minute changes to OGD1. We can probably route a handful of additional signals from the Spartan so that we can put BOTH a cheap TV/video-in chip AND a gumstix connector on OGD1. We don't have enough signals to fully populate all pins on the gumstix connector, so our idea is to populate exactly what is needed to support the netCF expansion board (http://gumstix.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=183). (This is one of the few expansion boards that will fit, given our space and orientation constraints.) Of course, our signals are just FPGA pins, so we can connect anything we want to the connector, but this way, we can have ethernet straight away. We will support the appropriate subset of pins on either the 92 or 120-pin gumstix connector.
Now, here's our big problem: We still can't figure out where to put the mounting holes on OGD1 so that the daughterboard can be properly secured in place. We've found diagrams of the gumstix motherboard, but there's no indication of which holes are daughterboard mounts. Maybe we need a drill drawing, but we can't find one. One of the biggest problems is that there is not enough documention, and schematics are in Eagle format, which we cannot read. -- Timothy Normand Miller http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~millerti Open Graphics Project _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
