Hacked up from my first interview:
The Open Graphics Project is a collaboration between the Free and Open
Source Software (FOSS) Community, Traversal Technology, and the Open
Hardware Foundation to develop open hardware products that are
compatible with Free Software, both philosophically and practically.
Traversal Technology has recently begun taking pre-orders on their
first open hardware product, the OGD1 FPGA prototyping kit, which is
an ideal platform for a wide range of hobby, professional, and
academic hardware projects.

The Open Graphics Project (OGP) aims to design an open source hardware
/ open architecture and standard for graphics cards, primarily
targeting free software / open source operating systems. The project
will first be developing reprogrammable development and prototyping
boards, but aims to eventually produce a full-featured and competitive
end-user graphics card.

These are a starting place... let's go back and forth a bit on this.
