Thanks guys, much appreciated.  Sorry to make a big deal about it, but
the fact that the spammers may be posting links that could be flagrantly
illegal makes me worry.

On the other side of the coin, it looks as if I'm going to be changing
hosting providers and servers at some point.  The server will be one I
own outright rather than lease (I just picked it up today), it'll be
more powerful with more horsepower and memory, and the hosting provider
I'll be using has much more bandwidth available (they host sites like
NFL and CBS).  But that'll likely be a couple of months out at minimum.
