We're brewing something to get stuff moving again. The general goal
is to lower the barrier for building open hardware and create a new
kind of cooperative ecosystem. We've been writing the manifesto for a
while now, and we want to make sure it all makes sense before
revealing it. Although I'm a contributor, and I'm in full support, it
wasn't my idea, and I'm not taking lead on it, so I'm not in a
position to say more at this time.

The OGP has accomplished a great deal, and I'm not about to just let
that fizzle out. Sadly, our initial approach was too ambitious. We
simply could not afford to make and sell OGD1 boards. Linux Fund had
25 of them made, but that didn't jumpstart things like I had hoped.
So now, we need to step back and come up with a more practical way to
ramp up. We also need to look beyond graphics, because other open
hardware projects have had more success with smaller things. I'm glad
to say that there is an existing OGP contributor (who was also on the
OHF board) who has some better ideas about how to do this than I had.
