Fujitsu has a new H.264 encode/decode chip, the MB86H52. Sample Price (including tax): JPY 25,000 Using exchange rates from Yahoo, this is US$215.45 or 158.13 Euro. No mention of quantity discounts. So less expensive that the previous MB86H51, but still expensive.
2 Watts Looks like it only does 2 channels of audio, seems odd. Looks like the new chip's major feature is the ability to convert mpeg2 to h.264. http://www.fujitsu.com/global/news/pr/archives/month/2007/20070823-01.html _______________________________________________ Open-hardware-ethervideo mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-hardware-ethervideo
