The short answer is, it's expecting an ISO 8601 date. i.e. yyyy-mm-dd
If you feel adventuresome, the following *should* reformat all dates
in the file. Just in case, it will also create a backup of your
original. perl -i.orig -p -e
's/(\d+)(\/)(\d+)(\/)(\d{4})/$5-$1-$3/g' <filename>
