Hi Steve, I can force this error to happen if I kill my OpenSRF Router process. So likely, your Router isn't running. I'm going to advocate this wiki page again: http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:checking_for_errors You should make sure everything has been stopped, and then start components one at a time and check for errors at each step.
