Stuart, Thirty seconds is an unusually long time for search to return from OCLC in the Z39.50 interface. Searches with large result sets can take a little longer than a search under 10 records to populate, but not that long. Certainly searches with fewer than 10 records in the result set only take seconds to populate under normal circumstances.

I have myself tried this at home and the time period is roughly the same (within a few seconds). Does the search from the staff client go to the evergreen server first then to OCLC or is it direct to OCLC from the staff client. Any information would be useful as productivity is reduced drastically at the moment. Thanks Stuart Library Systems Specialist Beaufort County Library (SCLENDS)
