In case you haven't seen this blog post -- it is a list (carried on in the 
comments) of erroneous assumptions programmers (actually, everyone) have about 
personal names. I think they can also be stretched to corporate names as well. 
While not written specifically for the library world, it has many applications 
to both patron names and name headings and their authorized forms.
