Hi all,

I was tinkering around with the 2.0 Beta 3 today and came across the new
ability to apply a circ modifier to each pre-cat transaction which is just
WONDERFUL for us in Indiana. Often times, we migrate a library that was
previously non-automated. As they are cataloging all of their items, we utlize
the pre-cat feature so they can remain open and using the system. Previously,
we could only rely on the "book" and default duration for pre-cat items.
Having the ability to have over 25 new duration options (in our circ matrix, of
course) will be a great help.

I was thinking, however, that perhaps it would be beneficial to see this great
new feature taken one step further. Would anyone else see the benefit in
benig able to choose from the "extended", "normal" and "shrt" values from
config.rule_circ_duration when choosing the circ modifier from the pre-cat
interface?

Sincerely,
Michael Peters
