One of our member libraries asked the following questions/raised the following issues. Does anyone know the answer to the questions? I don't really know the answer to some of her questions and concerns.
1) We are unable to load a selection list with copies for multiple branches (possibly because Evergreen only has basic EDI). Can more data fields be added to the distribution lists (like fund, call number, circ modifier) to make them more like a template, or are we stuck with just branch, shelf location, and quantity? 2) If we are not downloading a gridded selection list, how do we add 962 fields to the line items in our Purchase Order for ordering with an EDI Account? Does Evergreen automatically generate a 962 field if the provider is linked to an EDI Account? 3) Any idea when Evergreen will support enriched EDI so that data such as location, fund, and PO get transmitted to the vendor (and hopefully loaded from the vendor as well)? The subfields are there, but only ISBN, title, publisher, and quantity get sent with basic EDI. One of the issues is that this is a library with 9 branches and when ordering from a vendor like Ingram, they don't seem to be able to import an order with items that are ordered fro 3 different branches. -- Tim Spindler Manager of Library Applications [email protected] 508-755-3323 x20 IM: tjspindler (AOL, meebo, google wave) C/W MARS, Inc. 67 Millbrook St, Suite 201 Worcester, MA 01606 http://www.cwmars.org *P** Go Green - **Save a tree!
