Hi Alexey
I presume when you tried step 8 you are using the ADMIN-USER and ADMIN-PASSWORD that was setup during the initial database schema creation and not "login admin open-ils" unless of course you did use those same credentials. I'd bump up the logging to debug level and look at osrfsys.log for any messages regarding the login failure.

Another options is to try running the settings tester (step 10) and check if you see any anomalies, I wouldn't expect any but helps to take that off the list.

Here's a troubleshooting guide that predates the docs which might be useful (a lot of the content overlaps with the docs): http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:checking_for_errors

Cheers

All the steps prior to step 8 worked fine, no obvious problems that I could see.
For step 8 though, Connect to Evergreen using the srfsh command-line OpenSRF
client, I get this message:
------------------------------------

   "ilsevent":1000,
   "textcode":"LOGIN_FAILED",

}

I looked at the log /openils/var/log/srfsh.log, but there is nothing there
obvious (to me) that points to what is causing the login to fail or how to fix
it.

Could anybody suggest what could be the cause of this and where to look next?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
