Repke de Vries (Systems Librarian, IISH, Amsterdam), Robert Soulliere (Systems
Librarian, Mohawk College, Canada), Tigran Zargaryan (Fundamental Scientific
Library, Academy of Sciences, Armenia) and I have volunteered to put together
documentation on the technical side of Evergreen. Using Dan Scott's Book of
Evergreen (http://open-ils.org/~denials/testbook.html), we would like to start
flushing out the topics listed. But we will need your help!

We realize you are all extremely busy. So, we propose posting a topic every
1-2 weeks and ask the community to add what information they know/have. It
could be entries on your blog, notes you have made, emailed questions you have
answered or ad lib comments. We will then take this information and compile it
into the DIG documentation format. For more information about the DIG effort,
see
http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:dig_participation&s[]=documentation.

Naturally, we will give authorship credit to those who contribute.

Does this sound reasonable? We are open to other suggestions for compiling all
of the expertise you have, just let us know. We believe that the sooner we can
put this information together, the stronger the Evergreen community will become!

Thanks,
