I like Robert's ideas: DocBook and DIG for feedback. Should have thought of
that earlier. :)

Serials Documentation Drafts Now Available

I think having the discussion on the Documentation list is important as well.

The hope is that the Acquisitions. documentation would be included as part of
the official documentation for 2.0:
http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.0/draft/html/

I think it would be best to get the documentation into DocBook XML format which
could then be processed in both HTML and PDF as part of the official
documentation.

Would the DIG list be a good place to have the discussion and provide feedback
on documentation?

Mary, I'm happy to share them (on KCLS' behalf). Question: Would it be useful
for me to post these on the wiki with the "official draft" of Acq
documentation? I'm wondering if it would be useful to have a place to post
info about procedures or potential workflows with the official documentation.
I see these two types of documents very differently but both are equally
important.

And, is there a protocol in place for providing feedback on the draft
documentation that is posted? Seems like publicly sharing our comments would
be useful. I'm wondering if the documentation could be provided on a wiki and
in wiki format instead of PDF? I'm thinking of the way Dan Scott put up the
proposed rules of governance recently so we could all provide feedback. That
would make all feedback visible and easier to keep track of for whomever gets
to consolidate that feedback.

Should we be having this discussion on the Documentation list too?

Hi All,

I just got my hands on a copy of what is more like a procedures guides than
"documentation" for ordering, receiving and invoicing. It is from KCLS. I
don't want to introduce any confusion finalizing the documentation PINES/ESI
has put together. But if anyone would like a copy of of the workflow KCLS is
using, let me know.

See the links to the three PDF files in the Documentation section.

Please note that these are drafts created by Equinox on behalf of the Georgia
Public Library Service. We will have a 30 day review period before these
documents are finalized and become resources of the Evergreen community.
Please don't hesitate to give us your feedback.
