Fellow Evergreen Community Members, I'm writing to let you know that I will not be standing for reelection as Documentation Interest Group Facilitator at this year's conference. I have resigned from my job as Public Services Librarian at the Kent County Public Library in Chestertown, MD to be a full time stay at home Mom while my kids are young. My last day at work is Friday, March 23, after which I will not be receiving emails at this email address. If you need to contact someone from KCPL, please contact my colleague Andrea Neiman at [email protected]. I will still be monitoring the Evergreen General and DIG mailing lists, and for the short term at least, the [email protected] email address.
I have enjoyed my time working with DIG, but feel it doesn't make sense for me to continue as facilitator when I no longer have regular day to day interaction with the software. I remain an Evergreen fan, but will be taking a step back in my involvement. Yamil Suarez has done an admirable job filling in for me as DIG facilitator while I've been out on maternity leave and will continue to do so until a new facilitator can be elected at the conference. I think Yamil would make an excellent choice long term as well, and would like to nominate him for the position. I do hope to keep in touch with friends I've made in the community. Best wishes, Karen -- Karen Collier Public Services Librarian Kent County Public Library 408 High Street Chestertown, MD 21620 410-778-3636 ext. 2113 www.kentcountylibrary.org _______________________________________________ OPEN-ILS-DOCUMENTATION mailing list [email protected] http://list.georgialibraries.org/mailman/listinfo/open-ils-documentation
