Hello, I wanted to start a discussion on what to work on during the 2013 DIG hack-a-way on November 15th.
Four general that we can focus in parallel are: a) creating documentation for new features (targeting EG 2.5) b) creating documentation for older features that have never been documented c) updating existing documentation that is out of date d) moving older documentation in DocBook format into our current AsciiDoc format Here is a link to a wiki page to store our ideas... http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:dig_hack-a-way Also, related to task "d," last spring I had an MLS intern that helped me convert old documentation into AsciiDoc for EG version 2.4. We spent some time comparing the prominence of different sections of all the versions of the EG official docs Here is the unwieldy spreadsheet we created that some at DIG wanted to see, though it might be somewhat confusing. DIG Documentation TOC analysis - diffs https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuWquhlsJ9NudDI4enNDb3ZYbnZmc0otNzRyeUFlSUE&usp=sharing In the end the intern converted the following docs http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs_2.4:outline and some DIG volunteers are now starting the process to finally do the final proofreading of the intern's work. Some let me know what specific suggestions the DIG community has for what we should work on at the hack-a-way, or if you want your particular DIG cluster wants to work on during the DIG hack-a-way. Thanks in advance, Yamil _______________________________________________ OPEN-ILS-DOCUMENTATION mailing list [email protected] http://list.georgialibraries.org/mailman/listinfo/open-ils-documentation
