Hi all,

We're a little late getting the DIG Hack-a-way started. If you want to join the Google Hangout, could you send me and off-list e-mail with your Google account e-mail address?

Thanks!
Kathy

Hello,

I just wanted to revive this thread. I am happy to either go to
Worcester, MA for the 2014 hack-a-way (Friday, September 12th) or to
host folks at Berklee in Boston, MA if some prefer to go to Boston.
Perhaps, we can hosts folks at both locations. I am more open to going
to Worcester, since it might lead to more Massachusetts based EG
community members to participate and to give someone else a chance to
host.

So please chime in on where would you like to meet in Massachusetts,
or anywhere else in the globe physically or virtually for that matter.

Note, those that want to participate remotely, we can use both IRC and
Google hangouts to communicate during the day. Feel free to eamil me
directly or reply to this thread if you have questions about remote
participation.

Thanks in advance,
Yamil

Also, I just wanted to let everyone know that I have added on of the MassLNC
Sandboxes to the community demo server page -
http://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=community_servers so that DIG has
a 2.7 system they can use for documentation.

Hi all,

The next DIG hack-a-way will be held September 12. During the hack-a-way,
we will be focusing on documentation for new 2.7 features with the goal of
having this documentation complete before the 2.7 general release.

We have set up a wiki page identifying all new 2.7 functionality at
http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:2.7_needs.
Please add your name to the wiki for features you are willing to document.
Yamil has also identified a couple of features that he is willing to work on
with any new DIG members.

The DIG hack-a-way is an event where people can work together remotely via
Google Hangout. However, we also encourage sites to volunteer to serve as
hosts for geographic clusters that meet in person.

Traditionally, since there are so many New England-area members of DIG, we
have had one geographic cluster that meets at Berklee College of Music in
Boston. However, when I was looking at the Doodle poll to see who might be
participating in our geographic meet-up, I noticed that a drive to
Worcester, where C/W MARS is located, might be more convenient for the
Connecticut and New Hampshire folks. If they are taking public
transportation, Boston would be more convenient.

After speaking to Yamil, we decided to throw the question out to the New
England areas DIGgers to see what preference you have for a meeting
location. Just send us an e-mail, and we'll select a location based on what
works best for people.

If anyone else is interested in hosting a geographic cluster for this
year's hack-a-way, feel free to send out an e-mail to the list.

Feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

Kathy
