Jane, Excellent job! I work at an academic library, so I have been using hard due dates for a while and these instructions are accurate. I have been meaning to write documentation for hard due dates, but I never got around to it. I will push you code to the Git repository today or tomorrow for various EG versions.
Your ASciiDoc was practically perfect. I only had to make a small change by adding a trailing space to two lines, so that the list bullets would display. I added an extra return to... "To create a hard due date:" and "To add date values to your hard due date:" I noticed the small issue by changing your filename to end with ".asc" and changing "language" value to AsciiDoc. Then I got to see an HTML preview of you AsciDoc code. Here is what it looks like with those simple tweaks... https://gist.github.com/ysuarez/4175fd955ee0edac88a4 Not a big deal at all, just wanted to share the tip.
