Hrmm, were you following the Debian instructions for 1.2?

I think the database user should be "evergreen", and not "postgres",
according to step 4. Did anything weird happen during that step? And
for step 17, did you set all the database username entries to
evergreen in opensrf.xml?

It doesn't try to help you solve problems so much as it tries to find
the _first_ problem.
Also, version 1.2.4.0 is out now as well.
