Attached is a description of a feature we would like to see added to Evergreen that would allow setting fixed duedates. Some institutions, like us, let items circulate for the whole quarter or semester. We also allow items to circulate to faculty and some PhD students for an Indefinite period and recall them when they are needed by someone else. We would like to find a way to sponsor development of this feature, or perhaps add it to Evergreen and submit changes. Before doing that, or going further into spelling out how this might be implemented, I wanted to request comment from this list. Anyone else who might use this feature could comment on the proposal.
