Just FYI, I'm in the process of doing the same with a few workstations on Windows XP. To reconfigure the workstation name attached to the Staff Client, you'll have to delete the "ws_info" file. In my workstation, it is located here: C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\OpenILS\open_ils_staff_client\Profiles\<something here>.default\chrome Do not confuse with ws_info.xul (which you shouldn't delete). Also, your workstations may not be set to allow windows explorer to search "hidden" or system files, so if you were to search C:\Documents and Settings\ for the filename "ws_info" it still may not find "ws_info" -- at least on my system, even with "show hidden files and folders" set to checked in my options, search didn't find it. Thanks Mike - we had a hunch they were still attached to something but couldn't figure out what - it is the workstations. If those org units are in use by anything else in the system -- workstations, circulations, user home library, staff work locations, holds, items, call numbers (not a complete list, either) -- then you cannot delete them. This is restricted by database-level referential integrity constraints. -- Mike Rylander | VP, Research and Design | Equinox Software, Inc. / The Evergreen Experts | phone: 1-877-OPEN-ILS (673-6457) | email: [email protected] | web: http://www.esilibrary.com -- To be or not to be, that is the schnitzel.
