Sounds exciting! > I tried to install Evergreen in my personla computer to familiarize > with it but could not do it. does anyone have any tips on how to > install it so that way if the library decides to use Evergreen I will > be ready to explain to them how to do it. Bill Erickson wrote a script at http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS-Contrib/browser/ESI-Examples/trunk/tools/eg_dev_lenny_installer that is designed to work on Debian Lenny... subject to the usual warnings about default passwords, etc. I would recommend trying it in a fresh virtual image inside VirtualBox or VMWare or KVM or Xen or the like. > does anyone knows how to set it up in Spanish? There is no Spanish translation currently available in the source, although I see there is some work going on at https://translations.launchpad.net/evergreen/trunk/+lang/es to provide a translation. Once we pull that translation into the build, you should be able to follow the steps at http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=server_installation:adding_localizations to add Spanish to the supported languages for your installation.
