Hi Chris, We are running Ubuntu 10.04 (64 bit Server version) for our production and our test servers:
Our production server is running Evergreen 1.6.1.4. Our test servers are running Evergreen 2.0 Alpha and Beta. All run very well. We did not have any issues with installation following the standard instructions. We are probably not as large-scale as your environment since we are just as single planting (non-consortium) environment. I'd be interested in experiences on other distros as well, but GPLS is mainly a Debian/Ubuntu shop and we don't have plans to move away from them at the moment.
