Hi,

There are two good places that I have found to search Evergreen:

To search the e-mail archives, use this link
http://georgialibraries.markmail.org/search/?q= where you enter your search
terms in the box at the top

To search documentation you should be able to find relevant items in the search
box near the upper part of most open-ils.org pages (it has the faint "Google
Custom Search" in the search term box.

Regarding changing the name of branches, systems, and the consortium, you can
do that in the staff client. When you connect to your Evergreen server, look at
the upper right for the Admin menu item (next to the Help menu item). You will
select the menu item "Server Administration", and then in the sub menu that
opens up, select "Organizational Units". That will put a tree of the
organization units on your tab, and you can open items on the tree, click on
them to edit the name and other information.

After you save your changes, you may need to re-run the autogen.sh on the
server for the staff client and OPAC to "see" the new names
(logged in as the opensrf user)
cd / openils / bin
. / autogen.sh -c / openils / conf / opensrf_core.xml -u Brian

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] How do I change the name of my branch on server ver
2.0

Hello,
I am a complete new-bee trying to set up a small library for a nonprofit
organization in San Diego. A graduate student from Stanford helped me load
Evergreen ver 2.0.6 on Ubuntu 11.04. Now I am on my own. I learned a lot
through the manual and the live demo, but I hope to learn more through this
forum.
There seems to be no search function on the archives? If there is please
instruct me so.
May I ask the very first simple question to everyone: how do I change the
default name on my server "Example BR1" to more specific name for my NPO?
On the same subject I would rather see just one main library (Consortium)
rather than a few branches on the listing since we don't see any linkage with
any other library any time soon.
Thank you very much,
Dzung
