I have done some testing of authorities in EG versions 2.1 and up, but
it has been a while since I have done a test. I believe the first few
times I tried to update linked headings in a bib it seemed like it was
not updating the bib if I had left a tab open to the bib in question.
(Maybe a caching issue?) That is until I used the "reset display"
option from the "Actions from this record." Try that, if it applies to
you, but your milage might vary. I had an intern run several
authorities linking and updating tests for us, and he found them to
work as advertised at least for version 2.1 and up.

I linked a bib to an authority and it has the right auth# in $0 in
the bib tag but when I update the authority it does not update the
linked heading in the bib.
Is there an extra step that needs to be run or some config file that
needs to be updated?
