Most likely, what you are observing is due to the process that was used to port existing documentation to future versions. If there was no volunteer to test/review and/or convert to Asciidoc a given section, documentation was not moved forward. I think there was agreement to change that process. So, from now on all documentation will move forward and applied to the new version, even if it wasn't tested -- with an appropriate disclaimer, perhaps.
