Evergreen is mainly designed to have a single rate that will continue to a maximum amount, for example after the due date you could charge one rupee a day until it reaches 7 rupees, but then stop charging. Or you could charge 1 rupee a day after the due date until it reaches a percentage of the value of the book. Or you could charge 1 rupee every ay after the due date forever until the item is returned. It may be possible to use Evergreen's Action Trigger feature to set up something like this, but it wouldn't be super simple. Then click "set bottom interface as default" and it should load the OPAC view henceforth by default.
