Deana,
A caveat --- PINES has not implemented serials yet, so any suggestions I make are based on experience with just the cataloging interface. Did the person log off and back in and still get the error message? If they haven't tried it, exit Evergreen completely and then try again. Was the staff person merrily receiving successfully and suddenly got the error message? Or was this a different person with different credentials? If the later, make sure they have the correct permissions and the correct work location set for the login credentials. Others may have more targeted suggestions to the serials interface. Sometime Thursday afternoon, one of our staff suddenly became unable to receive new serials at one of our branches. Catalogers at other branches are not having this problem. The error message we receive when she tries is: We experienced a network/server communication failure. Please check your internet connection and try this action again. Repeated failures may require attention from your local IT staff or your friendly Evergreen developers. cmd_receive_items failed! The company we have helping us with the migration is flummoxed, our IT staff is flummoxed, and I am flummoxed! Can anyone shed any light on this for us?
