We were working with the new MARC Import Remove Field feature today and came across a problem I believe is related to permissions. We configured two remove field profiles, both of which were set to be optional. One of the profiles is owned by the consortium with the idea that it will be used by cataloging staff in all branches.

In testing, the option to use the profiles appeared on our Z39.50 import screen. However, when staff tried to use the new feature, the option did not display.

While doing additional testing, I found that the options displayed when using an account that had permission to do everything, but did not display when I used a cataloging account.

Is there a permission that allows staff to view and select the MARC Import Remove Field profiles from the various import interfaces? In looking at the documentation at http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.4/_permissions_to_use_this_feature_2.html, the only new permissions mentioned were:

    CREATE_IMPORT_TRASH_FIELD
    UPDATE_IMPORT_TRASH_FIELD
    DELETE_IMPORT_TRASH_FIELD

However, those permissions seem like they would be related to the creation and management of the profiles, not the ability to use a profile once it's been created.
