The problem: holds get canceled and then, cleared from the Browse Holds Shelf, but they don't get checked in or due to a miss-scan, they stay in the status of "On holds shelf." Because the hold has been cleared, there is little point in contacting the pick-up library for a shelf check. The only real option is to mark it Missing. That is pretty much it, right? Just checking.
