Hi Rose!

Thank you for asking the question as I've been meaning to share this information on the list for a few weeks now. In the conference pre-planning survey we conducted in August, we asked for feedback on some variations of the schedule for this year's conference. We found a majority of the respondents (68%) indicated that the schedule they found most appealing was one that started with longer tutorials on the hackfest day (Wednesday), incorporated the interest group meetings with other programming on the main conference days (Thursday and Friday), and ended with regular programming on Saturday.

At this time, the program committee is planning to build a program based on this schedule. Our hope is to get one technical tutorial and one end user tutorial on the hackfest day. Of course, this schedule depends on getting good program proposals for these tutorials, but this is the general direction we would like to head in.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

Kathy

Are the individual committee meetings being held on Wednesday like previously or has that changed?
