I can’t contribute at this point since we’ll just be mid-RFP (and in the
Evergreen world we’re probably only mid-sized) but I would be interested in
attending.

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Interest in Consortium Leaders Meeting at the
Evergreen Conference?

Good morning,

The conference team received some inquiries this year regarding what could be
done to make the conference more relevant for leaders of large consortiums .
Several of us discussed how we could facilitate some discussions without
creating a completely insular standalone track of programing.

With some last minute magic from Beth Longwell, we think we can fit in
"director's breakfast sessions" on Thursday and Friday mornings. We envision
these would be open roundtable sessions that would be focused on the issues
primarily facing large consortiums using Evergreen.

Some ideas for topics to cover each morning would be:
attracting new libraries/retaining membership; ongoing training; managing
upgrades and expectations; budgeting for IT and development; how to talk about
open source to the people who control your budget, etc.

In order to ensure we have satisfactory space, please indicate your interest by
replying to this email or emailing me directly.

Thanks!
Grace
