Hi all! I think I may have posted this to a listserv that I am not a part of on Friday. So, if you replied to that, would you please reply here instead?
I am hoping that someone can help me with some information. I am writing a report on how Evergreen retrieves records. Specifically, I am looking for information on the theory of information retrieval that undergirds Evergreen. What type of algorithm does it use? How does it determine relevancy? Does it use a specific method in order to index records? How does it determine what records to pull? In the Evergreen documentation, I discovered that it uses "cover density" in order to determine relevance. Can anyone provide any more information?
