Hi Serenity,
Welcome to the community!
I believe that documentation is something that was ported over from the
Evergreen in Action book, which was published a few years back. We moved
a portion of the book into our official docs, but there are still
chapters that were never ported over. It looks like the Appendix is one
of the sections that needs to be added to the official docs.
You can see the suggested permissions at:
http://en.flossmanuals.net/evergreen-in-action/appendix-a-suggested-profile-permissions/
Thanks for letting us know about this oversight!

Hi all! I'm in the early stages of system configuration on an instance
of 2.10 and I saw in the documentation mention of, "*an appendix with
a listing of suggested minimum permissions for some essential groups.*"
This phrase is in almost all documentation from 2.4 onward, but I
can't seem to find this appendix anywhere. I found a list of
permissions in an appendix in the 2.1 documentation, but that's not
quite what I need.
My organization is very small and we'll have probably only 3-4 levels
of user permissions, so it would save A LOT of time to find a list of
suggested permissions instead of going through each manually. We have
Student circulators, Library Assistant cataloger/circulator, and then
me and our Access Services Manager who are the project managers for
this, so we'd probably be Global Admins. Oh, and volunteers who would
probably be catalogers. Though, I'm still not sure.
Does anyone have a similar set-up?
Thanks!
