There is a new open-iscsi release here (open-iscsi.org still has problems): http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/mnc/open-iscsi/releases/open-iscsi-2.0-872.tar.gz

The iSNS command is now stable. You no longer have to set the server in iscsid.conf and then run the iscsiadm command. iSNS discovery works like other discovery methods:

iscsiadm -m discovery -t isns -p ip:port

The compat kernel patches have been updated to support kernels up to 2.6.35.
