Maybe worth a try: "multipathd -k" (interactive mode), then "show config" (or
"multipath -t"). In the output I spot entries like this:
        device {
                vendor "IBM"
                product "1722-600"
                path_grouping_policy "group_by_prio"
                path_checker "rdac"
                features "1 queue_if_no_path"
                hardware_handler "1 rdac"
                prio "rdac"
                failback "immediate"
                no_path_retry "300"
        }

The hardware handler should be named for your device. We use ALUA here, so I
cannot really help.
