Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of using the Cisco SN5420 with the open-iscsi
drivers? Does anyone have it working, or has had it working? What version of
Cisco SN5420 firmware was successful? And does anyone have v2.1.1 available?

I have tried iscsi-initiator-utils-6.2.0.872-12.fc15.i686 which looks to be the
packaged version of open-iscsi-2.0-872

iscsiadm --mode discoverydb --type sendtargets --portal 192.168.10.16:5003
--discover

which gives me this error:

iscsiadm: Connection to Discovery Address 192.168.10.16 failed
iscsiadm: Login I/O error, failed to receive a PDU

And on the console of the SN5420 I see this:

srsConnRecv:AS_CRIT :Illegal command (43) received during Login Phase on
connection 192.168.10.6:49169<->192.168.10.16:5003

I have v1.1.5 firmware running on the SN5420. From the looks of the
documentation that I have read I think it's unlikely that I will be able to get
this version working. I've also gone back as far as linux-iscsi driver 3.4.1
on Fedora Core 1 with 2.4 kernel and have similar errors.

I'm not even sure that it will work with v2.1.1 SN5420 firmware, but at least I
would have a conclusion either way.

Thanks,

Phil.
