EMC's XtremIO (http://www.emc.com/storage/xtremio/index.htm).
It's an All-Flash-Array (so quite fast) - perhaps it's relevant?
Can you elaborate what do you mean by 'allow different behavior when you 
remove/unmap volumes' mean?
