No, benefits are obvious, because suddenly X IO becomes X/N IO, at least on the initiator-target connectivity, hence huge boost on high IOPS loads. There is a pending for quite some time WRITE SCATTERED SCSI command. So, requests for this command should go to T10 committee to accept it in the official standard as soon as possible.
