Hi Donald,

Nothing ever refuted the analysis I posted, but the patch to use the
SO_LINGER settings to clear the TCP retransmit buffers on close also
proved to work in any of the related reproducer setups I'm aware of.

That patch was merged upstream exactly two years ago :)  You might
want to verify that it's present in the iscsid of you distribution of
choice.
