Marc, I just moved up to SR4 of the IBM JDK and, so far (cross your fingers), have not been able to reproduce the problem. I know that problems like this always seem to crop up again at the most inopportune time, but I'm happy now with SR4. Thus, no rush (or need?) to change the data-seeding logic in your testcases.

I expect this is just a glitch with the XMLDecoder (which I do suspect is a bug with the JVM you are using) that I use to setup the test cases and seed instances of the model. It can easily be swapped out by just hard-coding the data-seeding logic into the test case, which I've been meaning to do since you reported the problem, but just haven't had time yet.
