this request (David Blevin mentioned last time we had Continuum
issues that the best way to approach it was to make a JIRA issue).

(Adjust as necessary. According to [1], JDK 1.5 max heap size
defaults to 1/4 the physical memory, and I don't know how much is
available to each vm.)
