client is hedge serve in midtown *JOB REQUIREMENT* * * *INTERVIEWS ON – START ASAP* *LOCATION: NYC* *RATE: **$6**0**/- c2c or 1099* *DURATION: 6-9 MONTHS* *BUILD RELEASE ENGINEER* *WITH HEDGE FUNDS* Build Release Manager to help streamline the build and release processes for several proprietary applications. The applications platform includes Java, Java messaging system and several systems based on Microsoft products including Visual Studio, C#.Net, and SQL Server. The role requires a person who can work alongside several development teams and infrastructure groups (responsible for the deployment and run-time operation of the applications) to automate the build, release, and package the applications and database schemas to achieve error free deployments and streamline configuration of the applications within many production environments. Must be a senior technologist with more that 10 years experience. Articulate, excited and a hard worker. The environment is casual and everyone is relatively young. They need senior decision makers. Must define the approach for releasing several in-house built applications and database schemas to development - QA, UAT and production environments, also write scripts. Must have ability to learn quickly, new scripting technologies and techniques for automating development processes. Hands -on working knowledge of the following: Visual Studio, Eclipse, the Subversion source code control system, make, Ant and Maven. Prio experience automating the release and configuration of Java-based application systems including Service Mix, ActiveMQ, Progress SonicMQ(or other JMS Messaging systems)and Apache Server Prior experience automating the release and configuration of Microsoft applications developed using Visual Studio, C# and .net Experience coordinating the build, release and deployment process for schema changes to RDBMS (including SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase) -- Thanks & regards Sampath Reddy DEREX Technologies Inc. 111 S.
