Basic Function:
· Purchase, install, and maintain network and computer hardware
and software.
· Provide user support.
· Manage all work and projects related to IT/IS/IM except those
related to Programming/Analysis and Database Administration
Specific Skills and Requirements:

· Microsoft Exchange Server (Version 6.5)
· Microsoft SharePoint (Version 2.0)

· Adheres to all client protocols, policies and procedures.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
1-11 are most important.
12-13 are nice-to-haveʼs but not major considerations.
1. Manage all activities related to the operation and maintenance of
computers and peripheral equipment. Analyze usage patterns and establish
schedules and procedures for maximum utilization of the system.
1. Oversee IS operations including computer operations, data entry, data
control, and operations support.
1. Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the
organization's local area networks and wide area networks. Analyze products
and recommend use of new products and services to senior management. Manage
LAN/WAN performance and security. Establish and implement policies and
procedures for LAN/WAN usage throughout the organization.
1. Install PC's and related hardware. Investigate hardware problems and
perform minor system hardware and communication connection repairs. Perform
basic diagnostic testing. Refer major hardware or software problems or
defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
1. Oversee the planning, installation, control, and maintenance of
personal computers within the organization. Analyze business needs and new
technology and make recommendations. Develop organizational policies and
procedures for hardware and software acquisition and use.
1. Set up user accounts, regulating and monitoring file access to ensure
confidentiality and proper use
1. Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with the
organization's computer systems or PC's. Identify problems, troubleshoot and
provide advice to assist users.
8. Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the
proper use of hardware or software.
1. Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server and Outlook email
archiving.
1. Manage and maintain Microsoft SharePoint site.
1. Strictly adhere to company guidelines regarding confidentiality of
information and adhere to legal and societal expectations regarding ethical
and morale principals around keeping confidential information secure.
1. Provide input and support as requested into the development of a
corporate IM/IS/IT strategic plan that will be developed during the
4thquarter of 2008.
1. Until the corporate IM/IS/IT strategic plan is implemented, which
likely will identify the need for a CIO or IM (Information Management)
Director, and that position is secured in 2009, this Computer Network
Administrator will serve the role of managing all IM/IS/IT duties and
projects except those related to Programming/Analysis and Database
Administration.
Position Qualifications:

Education: Minimum: AA degree in computer related field.
Desired: Bachelorʼs degree in computer related
field.
Knowledge: Understand computer operating systems, file structure,
network structure, security, and databases.
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience.

Continuous speaking, hearing and visual effort. Position requires sitting
at desk and occasionally walking and standing. Continuous mental and visual
concentration requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
Working Conditions and Environment:

The work will be performed in normal office conditions.
This position will work and interact with a 10+ year company
employee/resource that is responsible for Programming/Analysis and Database
Administration for the companies IT/IS/IM function.
Reports to Chief Operating Officer.
