Client is Comcast West chester, pa or Mt laurel, nj 6 months Rate - 55/hr Sr Technical Analyst - Solaris-Linux Major Duties: * Support changes to existing hardware and OS (Solaris & Linux) infrastructure including patches, users, filesystems, and kernel parameters. * Troubleshoot hardware and OS problems including performance tuning. * Work with database and application teams to gather requirements for new projects and expansion to existing applications. * Perform hardware and OS capacity planning for existing services and provide recommendations to application owners. * Support existing server infrastructure in an on-call capacity as part of a team rotation. * Contribute to Comcast Solaris standards discussions and documents. * Communicate effectively with peer employees and senior management. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance. Education:BS/MS in Computer Science / Engineering, or equivalent work experience in Solaris or Red Hat Linux system administration. Experience: * Three to five years experience as Solaris and/or Red Hat Linux systems administrator - at least two in a senior role. * Experience in designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and tuning Solaris and/or Red Hat Linux systems in a medium to large enterprise environment. * Experience with Veritas Storage Foundation and Cluster Server a plus. * Experience with VMWare a plus. * Experience with both Solaris and Red Hat Linux a plus.
