·         Migrate additional functionality onto its existing *MOSS
Sharepoint platform*

·         An initial Sharepoint effort completed recently  has resulted in a
stable MOSS Farm and exposed to Sharepoint concepts and programming
challenges.  The immediate next phase being proposed has two main
objectives: 1) the replacement of the php extranet portal within a
Sharepoint portal and 2) the migration of non-print Marketing material over
to a possible separate site collection.

o    The Extranet is a portal used by both Corporate and Franchise as a
central hub to other applications.  Our Extranet Portal has been in
production for eight years and now has a dated appearance that reflects its
earlier creation.  There is a request to re-design the Extranet Portal site
with similar or enhanced workflow improvements while running under
Sharepoint. There is a need to utilize common "MOSS Web parts" and avoid the
use of customized Web Portal components.  Looking for a unique look and
feel, without the burden and overhead of using/supporting customized
Sharepoint Web port lets.

o    Create three distinct external portal designs concerts or wire frames
presentations, then have the Marketing department choose the best design (w/
technology input).   For those sections or portal inks not part of this
particular scope conversion, links will point back their older php web

o    To migrate non-print material listings over to Sharepoint.  The
Sharepoint platform will allow for greater graphic presentation of material
that will benefit its franchise user when selecting marketing material. In
particular for all Marketing items listed should have a thumb nail list
representation of items at the Sharepoint list level.

o    The new site collection will be in parallel to an existing site in
production, required to re-use some created forms and use a single
customized global search. They can be separate copies of the same form
running independently, with common lists synchronized (ie: vendors, center
address, local address books).
