Major Purpose of Job:
To design, develop, test, implement, and support software applications for
the SharePoint platform (MOSS 2007) from user requirements and design
documents under the direction of a Project Manager
Essential Job Functions:
ยท Develop and enhance SharePoint based web applications
- Design and implement MOSS 2007 sites
- Experience with SharePoint Designer 2007
- Provide strategic guidance on best practices for utilizing its
functionality (MOSS 2007)
- Experience with Infopath 2007
- SharePoint Workflows and development of web parts
- SharePoint security model and working knowledge of Active Directory
- Limited custom webpart development using .NET technologies C#, .NET,
ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Windows Workflow foundation, SQL Server and Oracle
connectivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Must have the ability to work independently within a small SharePoint
team and follow through on tasks
- Independently troubleshoot and research challenging SharePoint problems
- Work with end users and manage requirements that are needed to design
the application
Requirements:
*Skill Requirements*
- 4-6+ years technical SharePoint experience in development and
administration
- 4-6+ years programming experience in some .NET language, C#,
VB.NETutilizing
ASP.NET
- Proficient in developing Web Parts, InfoPath Forms and other SharePoint
customizations
- Knowledge and experience with Content Management methodologies and
procedures
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
and follow through on tasks
- Proficient managing SharePoint sites and managing security for a
complex SharePoint installation
- Proficient with Windows Server 2003
- Experience programming and/or administering SQL Server would be a plus
